Themed "Ready to moveon?" the fourth moveon Conference took place from July 2nd through July 4th.

Hosted by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), the conference gathered around 160 representatives from 80 European universities to discuss the current status of moveon and to familiarize themselves with the features available in the most recent version 3.0 of the software. Participants hailed from Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Spain.

For the first time the event included a pre-conference session, offering those participants who weren´t yet familiar with moveon, the opportunity to get to know the software and also to test it live. This year’s conference programme featured various panel sessions and workshops in four languages, as well as an extensive social programme which allowed for lively discussions and exchange of experiences among participants.

The conference was a productive and lively event and as such a great success, also at least partly due to the wonderful ambience in Madrid and at UPM.

The next moveon Conference is scheduled to take place at the end of June, beginning of July 2009 in Stockholm.
