Application and Admissions management

movein is an entirely web-based system for the management of  application, selection and admissions processes in your institution.

It allows for the flexible management of all your application processes in one single system – such as admissions of incoming and master students – and is particularly strong in decentralising the selection procedure. As a highly efficient software solution, movein is adapted to meet the individual needs of your institution and can be tied in and used with student management systems such as HISSOS.

 

The software consists of two modules, the Applicant Portal and the Applicant Management System.

Intuitive application tools

The Applicant Portal is a user interface which provides the applicant with information about the courses available and the possibility to apply online and communicate directly with your institution. Certain features also help candidates and those in the admissions office to assess whether the candidate is the right fit for a particular course.

This system provides you with the tools to manage all applications, carries out the selection and admissions processes and enables you to communicate with applicants. With intuitive reporting tools you may also discover application trends whilst having a complete overview of your recruitment activities.

Technical Information

QS unisolution hosting

movein is completely online and therefore can be hosted on your institution’s web-server or by QS unisolution. It is written in PHP and uses a PostgreSQL database.

If movein is hosted on a QS unisolution server, you will benefit from the following:

  • The server already includes all required software packages and installations. QS unisolution will take care of all necessary updates
  • The database is already prepared for movein, as well as regularly data backup
  • Installation and updates are independent from the IT department’s project planning and semester breaks
  • Access to the Applicant Management System is carried out by a secure connection

Hosting on your web-server

Of course, you can also host movein on your institution’s web-server. This requires the following software on your server:

  • PHP
  • PostgreSQL
  • Java

If all online applications should be carried out by a secure connection, then the computer on which movein is installed must support the SSL protocol (Secure Sockets Layer).

 

Updates for movein are released regularly and can be obtained through the service agreement. This way you have constant access to the latest developments of movein.
