We recently caught up with MoveON Account Manager Raphaël. London-based Raphaël joined QS Unisolution’s MoveON team in February 2016 as a Client Success Account Manager.

Raphaël, tell us a bit about yourself

I was born in Paris and have spent a lot of my life living abroad. I lived in São Paulo, Brazil for 4 years and Cairo, Egypt for 3. This time living and traveling abroad has enabled me to broaden my knowledge of different cultures and has taught me to speak Spanish and English (as well as my native French).

I took part in a 3-year studying entrepreneurship in Paris with a year working for two different IT companies, and then I decided to move to the biggest city in Europe, London – where I’ve now been for the past 4 years. I later joined the QS Unisolution MoveON Team as an Account Manager and I launched my own company technology company in football stadiums called driv.


Why MoveON?

With MoveON I found a place where we as a team help the international HE community and especially the students to fulfil their dreams. With MoveON they can discover new places across the world and enhance themselves in learning new cultures, languages and skills. The opportunity to play a pro-active role in this process was the main reason I joined the team.


Tell us a bit about the daily life of an Account Manager

Every day is different, which makes it difficult to provide a snapshot of my typical day.

I work as the lead point for our users across Australia, Benelux, Canada, France, Italy, Latin America, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain, the United States and French speaking Switzerland – operating as the link between our users and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of company’s solutions according to user needs and objectives.

In addition to this, I communicate any online, onsite and group training sessions, product updates our users may be interested in and I also escalate any difficulties they may be experiencing to our support team. I also lead client Pilot Committees in several territories, which are designed to enhance the client experience and help the MoveON team to gather user feedback and recommendations.


What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I am passionate about history and more precisely I’m a specialist of the French 1st Empire. I’m also passionate about aeronautics to a point that I would be able to fly an airplane without even having my licence!

Sport plays a really important role in my life as I won the Junior swimming championship in 2006 and I’ve played football for more than 10 years in several clubs in France! I also enjoy playing the piano and travelling the world.
